I have calendars, files, mail, notes all around me on my desk. The new year is already demanding attention.
Right now I am looking at the broad picture, backing up and trying to condense it to must do’s. I’m looking at a very full year: new babies, 3 months in the USA, Lilly getting a job, and most importantly, time with family.
I also have on some beautiful sacred music which reminds me that God alone is worthy, He is in control, and all is to His praise and glory. Okay, 2017, come on.
This will be my last post for awhile. My daughter in the US, who does all the technical work, is having a baby, and I, who do the writing, am wondering what direction to go to be an encouragement to you moms and you TCKs.
So for now, we are praying and waiting.
I welcome any input you might have. I will prayerfully consider it. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or find me on facebook to leave a message.
This morning I was reading the Proverbs. Wisdom: we all desperately need it. If you are a believer you can rely on this, “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5.
Two years ago I had a massively confusing time. I was barred from returning for three months to my country where my husband and daughter were. A loved, aged relative was dying, for whom I was chiefly responsible for care-giving. My daughter was having her first baby.
Funerals, births, daily Skype calls to my husband… I cried for wisdom.
Looking back, that wonderful wisdom from above was generously given, and praise God, with no reproach for my faltering steps!
